Privacy Policy
Healthcare Plus Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative. We are committed to providing our members with financial products and services to meet their needs and help them attain their financial goals. We are required by law to give notice to our members to explain how we collect, use and safeguard their personal financial information.
The initial notice will be delivered with statements for quarter end March 31, 2001. Disclosures will be given to all new members opening accounts after that date. An updated privacy policy disclosure will be given annually to all current members.
To assure the continued privacy and confidentiality of members’ personal financial information, Healthcare Plus Federal Credit Union will observe these practices and procedures:
I. Information We Collect
Healthcare Plus Federal Credit Union collects nonpublic information about the members from some or all of the following sources:
- Information we receive from the member on applications or other forms
- Information about members’ transactions with us or others
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency
II. Information We Disclose
Healthcare Plus Federal Credit Union will not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our member and former member to affiliates or non-affiliated third parties except as permitted by law.
III. Our Security Measures
Healthcare Plus Federal Credit Union restricts access to nonpublic information about the members to those employees and volunteers who need to know that information to provide products and/or services to the member. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal regulations to guard nonpublic and personal information.
IV. USA Patriot Act
Healthcare Plus Federal Credit Union is helping the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
